Gmail Specific: How do I make my Sane labels take up less space?

Gmail provides a couple of ways to fix this. One option is to rename these labels to be shorter. Or you can remove labels from your email subjects:

1. On your Settings page, go to the Labels tab.
2. Under the Show in message list column, click hide for the ones you wish to no longer see.
